Seafish creates critical worker certificate for fishermen

Following requests from fishermen, Seafish have created a ‘critical worker certificate’ that they can, on request, issue to vessel owners, skippers and fishermen to use when travelling to and from work.
They can issue these certificates to any individual who has completed their mandatory training, and are therefore in our training database. 

To request a certificate
Email training@seafish.co.uk or call 01472 252302 with the following information:

Name
Date of birth
Vessel name
Vessel registration number (PLN)
Vessel location (port of operation)

Note
There is no legal requirement for these certificates to be carried. We are creating them in response to requests from fishermen in order to provide them with a piece of documentation which - if required - can help them to demonstrate that they are a critical worker making a necessary journey.
